Richard H. Seaton, Jr.
Richard is a partner in the firm. His primary areas of practice include
Domestic and Family Law, Criminal Defense and Personal Injury.
Richard has appeared in most of the District Courts in Northeast Kansas
as well as the Kansas Court of Appeals and the Kansas Supreme Court.
He has practiced extensively in Federal District Court for the District
of Kansas. He has tried Criminal and Civil Jury Cases in both State
and Federal Court.
Regarding criminal proceedings, Richard has represented clients charged
with First Degree Murder, Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, Rape,
Arson, Kidnapping, and various lesser felonies and misdemeanors. His
Family Law experience includes representing clients involved in Divorce,
Paternity Proceedings, CINC actions, Child Support and Child Custody.
Richard’s Personal Injury matters have ranged from Wrongful Death
and Catastrophic Injury cases to simple Automobile Accidents.
Richard is a 1988 graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law
and practiced law in Wichita until joining the firm in 1998. He is admitted
to practice law in the State of Kansas, the Federal District of Kansas,
the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
He is a member of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association, the Kansas Association
of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal
Defense Lawyers.
