Richard H. Seaton Jr.
Richard Seaton, Jr. is a partner in the firm. His focuses on criminal defense and personal injury, and also works in the domestic and family law areas .
A trial alwyer who has appeared in cases throughout Kansas, Richard has also handled cases in the Kansas Court of Appeals and the Kansas Supreme Court. He has practiced extensively in Federal District Court for the District of Kansas and has tried jury cases in both state and federal court.
Mr. Seaton has defended clients charged with first degree murder, manufacture of a controlled substance, rape, arson, kidnapping, and various lesser felonies and misdemeanors. His areas of concentration in the domestic and family law areas include divorce, paternity proceedings, CINC actions, child support and child custody. He has also dealt with personal injury matters ranging from from wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases to simple automobile accidents.
After graduating from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1988, Richard practiced law in Wichita until he joined our firm in 1998. He is admitted to practice law in theall Kansas courts, the Federal District of Kansas, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association, the Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
